Our Story

Casa Meburger 279 was born from our desire, Maria and Silviu, to bring the story of a traditional Transylvanian house into the present and transform it into a place where people can slow down and truly enjoy their time.

We rebuilt this house using materials salvaged from the old home, combined with new elements, preserving its traditional structure and spirit. For us, it was important not to lose authenticity, while at the same time offering the comfort today’s guests are looking for: bright rooms, each with its own private bathroom, relaxing spaces, and a garden where you can breathe in the quiet of nature.

Silviu has been a tour guide for over 15 years and knows every corner of the area. That’s why, for us, our guests are more than just visitors. We welcome them personally, get to know them, and help them discover the special places around us: the centuries-old oak forest, the oldest oak tree in Romania, peaceful walking trails, and routes perfect for cycling.

For those who want to explore the area in a more active way, Silviu organizes guided e-bike tours – an experience that allows you to see more and feel the rhythm of the place without rushing.

At Casa Meburger 279, we aim to offer more than just accommodation. We want every guest to leave with the feeling that they have lived an authentic Transylvanian experience – in a reimagined traditional house, surrounded by nature, where time seems to flow differently.

We believe in respecting tradition, protecting the place, and supporting the local community. That is why we have created here a simple and beautiful space: a garden courtyard, a playground for children, cozy relaxation corners, and a sauna – all close to nature and the peace that so many people are looking for.

And when you arrive, you don’t need to have a plan.

We’ll help you discover the place, at your own pace.
